We begin our walk at the intersection of Calle Calvario and Avenida Andalucía, opposite the sign that welcomes us to Alozaina.

At the end of this avenue, where Calle Tolox and Camino del Mercado intersect, there is a green wrought iron gate that leads to the entrance to the COPUSAN Agro-Olivar Cooperative, an association with a long history in the olive oil sector and its derivatives, which are made in the traditional style in this town.

As olive growing is one of the main sources of income for the inhabitants of Alozaina, its importance is reflected in the Calle los Olivos, which we will take next, leaving on the left hand side a view full of olive trees.

As a curious fact, at the back of the oil mill, the Alozaina cattle fair used to take place, important because it was the only way to trade with one of the main sources of income at that time. It was also a way of maintaining contact between the villages of the region.

We cross the road and take the small dirt track that will allow us to enjoy the beautiful landscape where the almond and olive trees are the centre of this enclave.

At the end of the path, we turn left and enter the town centre along Calle Portugalete, popularly known as “Cerrillo”. We continue straight on and go up Calle Sánchez Rivas, leaving Calle Talleres on the right.

Taking advantage of the slope of the terrain, we discover numerous barricades at the entrances of the houses, adorned with plants.

We continue along Calle Molino, leaving Calle Granadillo and Calle Canuto on the right until we reach Calle Tolox.

Then, at the end of the route, we will see the old archway at the entrance to the village, which leads us along Calle Calvario to the starting point of this route, with the extraordinary panorama of the Sierra Prieta in front of us.
